About Los Pellerano de la Republica Dominicana
Please sign in to see more.
I dedicate this page to my grandfather, Arturo J. Pellerano Alfau, who founded the prestigious Dominican newspaper Listin Diario, on 1 August, 1889.

I've made an effort to include many other descendants of Giovanni Battista Pellerano of Santa Margherita Ligure, Italy, who settled in the Dominican Republic in the early 1880's. As in every genealogical project, massive amounts of data are subject to errors and omissions. Therefore, I would be grateful for your comments regarding any corrections or oversights in the Guest Book, or you may e-mail me directly.

I wish to thank everyone who has contributed photographs and other material. Special thanks go to my two cousins: Fedora Pellerano Gomez for her tireless research; and Olga Gomez Cuesta for her help and encouragement.

 This work could not have been done without help and direction from the listed Dominican genealogists, whose consultations have been invaluable:

 Julio A. Gonzalez Hernandez of the
 Instituto Dominicano de Genealogía, Inc.;

 Marcos H. Hernandez Brea of the
 Proyecto Genealógico Raíces de Quisqueya;

 Dr. Carlos Vicente Larrazabal Blanco, Author of
 Familias Dominicanas; and

 Antonio J.I. Guerra Sanchez, Founder-Secretary of the
 Academia Dominicana de Genealogía y Heráldica.

 To each and all, I give my heartfelt gratitude for their enduring patience and admirable grace in answering my seemingly endless number of questions.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
